About the facility
The High-Tech Racing Mecca

"Whoever comes to visit the Ruhr area, is also interested for the Daytona Kart
Centre in Essen. You haven't truly visited Ruhr until you've been here."

This is not an advertising slogan but the real opinion of readers of the magazine: Pro Kart.
After an expansion and modernization in 2009/2010, the flood-lit track and spacious facilities
now house two circuits of around 630m in length.

For the perfect experience Daytona, Essen utilises brilliantly maintained, 9 bhp latest
generation Rimo karts. There is also a large-scale bistro, with a tasteful ambience even for
spectators. The Bistro provides an excellent view of both circuits on the site.

The staff at this advanced kart track are also exceptionally friendly and technically savvy.
Daytona at Essen really is the perfect venue for the Kart World Championship
About the Karts
Four Stroke Driving Perfection

The karts to be used for the Kart World Championship at Daytona, Essen will be Rimo Evo-5
karts. These fantastic machines are powered by a four-stroke, 200cc engine which produces
9bhp - which is more than enough for the technical indoor circuit.

These karts can carry up to 30kg of additional lead, helping KWC drivers meet the minimum
weight requirement of 90kg.
The Circuit Layout
Indoor Masterpiece

The specially designed circuit at Essen is one of the longest indoor tracks in the World.
Various layouts can be utilised including a brilliant outdoor addition. Different track surfaces
as well as varying widths and corner types will ensure a true test for the World Championship
drivers.
The Bistro and Viewing Areas
Spectating Heaven

The Bistro at Daytona Essen offers not only a fantastic view of the racing, but also top
quality food and drinks. The seating area is generously sized - and you can guarantee a great
atmosphere during the week of Kart World Championship competition.
