Saturday with heavy skyes and hope for rain. 41 Drivers join for the brazilian NQS at Rio de janeiro in Volta Redonda Internationa race track. Raced in MORO frames and 13 HP HONDA engines. Format with three qualifying races preceeded by a one lap grid formation for each driver. Then a final for the 16 best drivers after the qualifiers preceeded by a Match Race. During the 3 qualifiers it was MATEUS TEIXEIRA that came out leading with three wins. Behind him Rafael Henning with two wins and a third. Joao Tubino and Guilherme Sabra also scored good points for third and fourth respectively. Hometown contender Thomas Dantas did not make it to the finals because of na accident with broken kart and a Time penalty on a bad attempt to pass. Big surprise on the Match race when Raphael Lima and Joao Tubino upset Rafael Henning and Mateus Teixeira respectively. At race start the two leaders picked the pace and opened 4 seconds from Raphael Henning in third. Mateus could not follow Henning and conformed himself with fourth. Joao Tubino got a warning that according to the rules would take away three points from his championship. For him it was now win or wall. Raphael kept cool and opened a gap of two seconds after both drivers started scoring best lapso ne after the other. In the end Joao noticed that his title chances were gone and relaxed.Henning that had secured the title with his third position did not relax and in the last lap passed Joao moving to second and securing his entry to the 2020 KWC.
